AMTA To Be Promoted On Dish Network

Evanston, IL — American Massage Therapy Association members and massage therapy will be promoted in a one-minute consumer education segment on twenty stations on the Dish Network throughout the month of November.  AMTA produced the segment which focuses on the benefits of massage, what to expect from a massage and what a consumer should know about massage.  The spot also directs consumers to the AMTA Find a Massage Therapist national locator service to locate an AMTA massage therapist in their area. 

The segment allows AMTA to reach a large nation-wide audience made up of potential first time users as well as those who have had a massage.   It encourages consumers to make massage a regular part of a healthy lifestyle.  The spot is part of AMTA’s national initiative to motivate consumers to use massage and to look for an AMTA member when choosing a massage therapist.

This TV promotion of massage follows National Massage Therapy Awareness Week, October 23 – 29, through which AMTA reaches out annually to promote the benefits of massage. 

The stations where the spot will air on the Dish Network are divided into specific audience groups.  The first group is the News Cluster and includes CNN, MSNBC, Bloomberg, CNBC, Court TV, FOX News, Headline News, The Weather Channel, ESPN News.  The second group is the Women’s Cluster and includes Lifetime, Food Channel, WE, HGTV, Style, Discovery Home, Lifetime Movie Channel, Do It Yourself, SOAP, and Discovery Health.  The spot will air once each day between 7pm and 12am Central Standard Time on each of the Women’s Cluster networks the week of November 6 – 12.  It will also air the next week, November 13 – 19, on the News Cluster networks between 7pm and 12am CST.  The spot will also air on Lifetime and Discovery Health.  See the schedule below:
