About Felicia

Felicia Evans is a licensed massage therapist who trained at Florida Health Academy in Naples, Florida. Her favored massage types are Swedish, Neuromuscular and the unique Aromatherapy Soothing Waves massage (see section “massage and bodywork” for further explanation). She came into her career as a massage therapist because, when asked by her fiancée(now husband), Tim, what she wanted to be more than anything, she replied, “a massage therapist”. She realized then that seeing people comforted and healed was her calling in life, and massage therapy was a wonderful vehicle for this. She loves the serene retreat of Illumina Spa and enjoys her work very much.  She also loves children, ballet, surfing and flower arranging.

Aromatherapy Soothing Waves massage was passed down by the English Aromatherapist Micheline Arcier and the American Aromatherapist Candace Newman(Candace’s unique version is called Touch with Oils Massage Treatment).  After Micheline’s death, Candace Newman felt called to pass on the legacy of this massage to others. Felicia was blessed to be able to learn this unique treatment. It is a beautifully gentle massage using only the top quality medicinal grade essential oils.  The massage targets the nervous system and the lymphatic system of the body, using a gentle wave-like touch and the powerful healing qualities of essential oils.
