Basics of Cranial Sacral Massage l    7 NCBTMB, AMTA, ABMP & PA Licensing Board approved continuing education credits  Class length:  7 hours  Price:  $130.00  Deposit:  $25.00

Cranial Sacral Therapy is a systematic or integrative hands-on method that activates the healing potential of the body; releasing pain, stress, restrictions and fosters a remarkable feeling of relaxation and well-being. The therapist places his or her hands on a (clothed) individual to tune into their cranial sacral rhythm; assessing the body for restrictions, then helping the client's body to heal itself.  Using hand holds and placements, the practitioner gently works with the spine, sacrum, the skull, its cranial sutures, and the body's fascia. In this way, restrictions are eased or removed, the movement of cerebrospinal fluid is optimized, and misaligned bones can be restored to their proper position.  This modality is used to treat pain, disease and disorders that have manifested themselves in the body because of physical and/or emotional trauma. This class covers the theory of Cranial Sacral Massage, with hands-on time to learn and practice the 3 Comfort Holds and a Full Body Assessment.  Please bring a notebook and pen/pencil to this class.  Wear comfy clothing and socks, and wear pants; do not wear jeans, earrings, belts, capris, dresses, shorts or skirts to class.

Please visit website for registration.

"One of the reasons I joined AMTA was the ability to be mentored and to mentor. It teaches what you cannot learn or read in a book or magazine—it's live hands on learning. I am David and I am AMTA."
