This one day course provides an overview of the benefits and concerns involved with providing massage to the geriatric client. A combination of lecture, small group exercises and hands on practice will empower the licensed massage therapist to provide safe and compassionate touch to this quickly growing client demographic. Session work will focus on exercising compassionate communication and creating relaxation and pain relief while working with both active and medically frail clients from the geriatric population.
