This is your chance to place your product or service in front of the largest national gathering of massage therapists from all over the country. We’ve already sold 75% of our booths, but great space for your business is still available.

Get inspired by the enthusiasm as attendees move through the exhibit hall. Many save up all year to come and see new products and shop for what they or their clients need. In addition to registered attendees at the education sessions, we’re also inviting other members, non-members, local schools and students throughout Arizona to come to the exhibit hall. Take advantage of this diverse audience from the graduating student to the teacher, to the professional massage therapist, to the school administrator.

Exhibitor Service Manual

An Exhibitor Service Manual, provided by the official decorator, will be mailed to confirmed exhibitors on or before June 15, 2008. The service manual contains service policies and order forms for services provided by the exhibits decorator and other subcontractors. These services include shipping, additional furnishings, electricity, audio/visual equipment, etc.

Eligibility for Exhibiting

All products and services exhibited must be germane to the practice of massage therapy. Content of the exhibits is subject to approval. AMTA reserves the right to refuse entrance/set-up to companies not meeting standards required or expected, as well as the right to curtail or to close exhibits or parts of exhibits that reflect unfavorably on the character of the meeting. This applies to displays, literature, advertising, novelties, souvenirs, conduct of persons, etc.

Booth Assignments

Priority in space assignment will be given to those previous exhibitors who reserved space at last year’s convention. After the priority space assignments have been made, space will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis upon receipt of the exhibit application and full payment. Click here to view the floor plan of the exhibit area. AMTA will make every effort to assign preferred booth spaces. For those exhibitors who do not wish to be located next to a particular company or product, please indicate this on the exhibit application. It is the policy of AMTA to avoid assigning adjacent booth space to companies with the same product type(s). AMTA reserves the right to relocate or reassign booths at any time for the overall benefit of the program.

Booth Sharing

AMTA exhibitors will be permitted to share booth space with another company. The following restrictions will apply:

1. Companies must make their own arrangements for locating a “booth partner.”

2. A contract must be signed by a designated representative from each company.

3. The entire booth fee must be enclosed with your contract in order for either company to set up their materials.

4. All materials must fit entirely within the booth area. Any violation of this restriction will result in the immediate termination of each exhibitor’s privileges.

5. An attempt must be made by each party to maintain an aesthetically pleasing booth presentation. AMTA staff may make suggestions for achieving this during exhibit set-up.

Please Note: An exhibitor previously contracted for a single booth may not cancel in order to share a booth.

Payment

Full payment of the rental fee must be included with the signed contract. Checks, Visa, MasterCard and Discover are accepted. Checks should be made payable to the American Massage Therapy Association.

Sponsor Discounts

Sponsors who have reached the $10,000 level or above for the year get a 5% discount off any of the booth prices. For additional details, contact Calvin Trout at 630-654-9124, or calvindtrout@consultant.com

Promotion

The AMTA National Convention and Exhibits Marketplace is promoted through magazine ads, direct mail, broadcast e-mail, online, national publicity, personal contact and other promotions. Exhibitors are invited to participate in promoting the AMTA Exhibits Marketplace in an effort to encourage attendance. A pre-registered participant list will be available to interested exhibitors after September 7, 2007. This list will provide an opportunity for each exhibitor to mail their own promotions to attendees before the convention. Please Note: Lists will not be complete as registration is ongoing.

Liability

AMTA will provide security during exhibit set-up through exhibit teardown, and will exercise reasonable care for the protection of exhibitors’ materials and displays. Neither AMTA nor any officer, staff member, agent or member is responsible for the safety of exhibitors’ property, agents or employees from theft, damage by fire, accident, or any other causes.

Attendees/Attendance

The AMTA National Convention Exhibits Marketplace is attended by massage therapists. Most attendees are AMTA members with professional status, as well as other complementary healthcare professionals. Attendance at the convention is typically around 1,000. The last convention registered over 1,200 attendees. Attendees are encouraged to spend time in the Exhibits Marketplace as we understand the importance of adequate hours to display your products and to talk to the participants one-on-one. AMTA will continue its efforts to bring attendees into the Exhibits Marketplace by planning events that will draw a crowd. Information on special promotions and sponsorships will be sent to all exhibitors after the booth assignments are completed.
