AMTA Remembers Bob King

Robert King, a pioneer in the art and practice of massage therapy, passed away on July 5. Bob was a past president of AMTA, co-founder of the Chicago School of Massage Therapy, a teacher and an author. Bob was a strong advocate for the massage therapy profession. Bob and Kathie King were presented the Performance Health/Massage Therapy Foundation Humanitarian Award at the AMTA 2009 National Convention.

A celebration of Bob's life took place on July 28, 3-6 p.m., at Bodhi Spiritual Center, 2746 N. Magnolia St., Chicago IL 60614. Bob's family requests that, in lieu of flowers, those wishing to remember Bob can make a donation in his name to the Massage Therapy Foundation.
