COMMITMENT
Minimum of one hour weekly and a three month commitment
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete Volunteer Massage Therapist Orientation
- Provide 30 minute fully clothed massages to Cancer Wellness Center participants
- Submit copy of current State of Illinois Massage Therapy license
- Maintain confidentiality per standards set by the Cancer Wellness Center
- Maintain regular weekly schedule within three month minimum time commitment
- Adhere to Cancer Wellness Center standards and procedures for making appointments and record keeping
- Call the Center to confirm appointments for each scheduled day at least three hours prior to first appointment
QUALIFICATIONS
- Hold a current State of Illinois Massage Therapy License
- Minimum of one hour weekly and a three month commitment to volunteer
- Understanding of necessary confidentiality issuesSensitivity to oncology issues as related to massage
- Comfort interacting with individuals in a customer service capacity
